Frequently asked questions
How do I book you & what deposit is required?
The first step is to get in contact with me to ensure the date is available. If available, I will send a detailed quote along with all the necessary booking information. Once you’re happy to proceed, fill out the booking form and a €100 (non-refundable) booking fee is charged to secure your date. The date is blocked off to anyone else enquiring on your date.
Do you take requests?
Yes. I welcome requests on the event night. I also ask for your personal top favourite songs prior to your wedding, as I want to make it personal for you both... It’s your big day remember! Do note though, you are booking me for my knowledge and expertise, so trust me that I will judge what will work best on the night. P.s. I am happy to take a ‘Do Not Play’ list from you also!
Why book ‘DJ4Me.ie by Colm Donnelly’?
I fully appreciate there are many DJs within Ireland but not all are professional wedding DJs. I run an experienced wedding and corporate DJ business that focuses on service, professionalism and trust. These are some of my core values but ultimately I want to ensure you and your guests have an unforgettable night to remember for years to come! That's my goal!
Do you supply all your own equipment, sound and lighting?
Yes. I pride myself on having state of the art quality professional equipment that is suited exactly for exclusive events such as weddings and corporate events. I also carry some back-up equipment so you will never be let down.
In case of an emergency, what happens if you can’t make it to the event?
In the highly unlikely event that a major emergency happens (which has never happened FYI), I am also affiliated with one of Ireland's biggest entertainment companies, so you can rest with ease, as you will never be let down - That's my promise! Also please note, when you make a booking with me, it will be me personally DJ'ing at your event. I constantly hear about certain DJs that get booked and someone else arrives in their place. Shocking!
Do you have the right music for my event?
Absolutely. I spend hours before your wedding or corporate event preparing the music to make sure that you and your guests have a night you remember and dance your socks off!
Do you travel throughout Ireland?
I am based in Wicklow and generally cover Leinster only but occasionally on request, I travel outside Leinster, which as you can appreciate will carry a travel, fuel and accommodation charge.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due on or before the night of the event but at the latest, at the very beginning of your night. This can be arranged to suit what works best with you.
Do you perform at more than one event in a day?
No. I never ever take on a second event on the same day. You, the client, are my sole focus on the day of your event.
Are there any other services that you provide, such as uplighting?
Yes. 50% of wedding and corporate events I cater for, request uplighting for their venue/room. Typically I provide a ‘package price’ if booked alongside me DJ’ing.
When do you arrive at my event?
I typically arrive about one hour before the scheduled start time. This is to ensure everything is loaded-in, set-up and prepared for your event. The main reason for this is to ensure if there’s a band, the transition is seamless - Don't worry you are not charged for this time. Early setup can be purchased as an additional extra.
How much experience do you have?
I have over 20 years' experience DJ'ing. I have worked in radio, bars. nightclubs and all types of parties and events. Over the last 10 years, my main focus has been DJ’ing some of the best weddings and corporate events in Ireland.
Do you set up a promotional sign or banner around your equipment?
No. This question is asked a lot. Nothing bothers me more than when I see the entertainment with a big pull-up banner. The truth is, this is pure advertising. My thoughts are; if you’re good enough, guests at the event will ask for your details and get your card. I think it looks awful, sorry!
Are you covered with insurance?
Yes. DJ4Me.ie is covered with €10m Public Liability insurance.
Have you terms and conditions when booking you?
Yes. Please see
here for my Terms & Conditions. When making a booking, all clients are asked to accept the T&C’s. Accepting these are part of the contract between DJ4Me and you, but are there to have a clear understanding of what is expected from the start.
